Three Years Old

Lorelei turned three years old a week ago and we had a great day celebrating with her. She loves to sing "Happy Birthday" and thoroughly enjoyed us singing to her when she woke up. She even joined in singing to herself. She picked out a glazed doughnut with oreos on top and we put three candles on it to let her blow out. Surprisingly she didn't actually eat much of the doughnut but just picked the oreo pieces off the top. She drank all of her hot chocolate. I needed to give the kids a bath so to make it a little more exciting I let the kids put on their swimsuits and play in the bathtub awhile before washing off. After Morgan was down for his nap, Lorelei and I made her birthday cake. Lorelei loves to help in the kitchen and loves it even more when she gets to lick the bowl. After her cake was baking, she enjoyed a lunch of a pbj (which she would eat for every meal), carrots and hummus (which she loves for the sake of the hummus), blackberries, and almond milk. She took a 2 hour nap and then played babies with Julianne until daddy came home. We let Lorelei open her birthday presents and she got an Elmo shirt and bow, a bag of play make up, a play hair dryer and curling iron, and some crayons. She told us that she wanted chicken nuggets for dinner so we went to chick fil a for dinner and playtime. After playing in the play place a bit, we went to Orange Leaf and let the girls make their own frozen yogurt sundaes. Lorelei picked Birthday Cake frozen yogurt, marshmallows, white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, sprinkles, and a cherry on top. As we were out that evening it started snowing so the girls enjoyed trying to eat snowflakes as we made each stop. We are so thankful that God has blessed us with our funny, caring, emotional, accident-prone Lorelei!
