Huber's Farm Pumpkin Picking 2011

This morning we went to Joe Huber's Farm to pick a pumpkin. Little did we know that it would be a very cool and crisp morning, but thankfully we were prepared with winter coats, mittens, and hats. A tractor ride took us to the pumpkin patch, which actually looked more like a pumpkin graveyard. Since it was later in the pumpkin picking season and Huber's had already had their first frost, the majority of the pumpkins were either rotten or were pretty ugly. We did find one keeper after searching for almost 20 minutes. We got back to the store and bought our pumpkin and some very sweet employees handed each girl a plastic bag and then proceeded to load them down with an apple, several handfuls of candy, and then let them pick out a gourd. We walked to several more locations on the property where they were handing out candy for their trick-or-treating then we drove a half a mile to the winery part of the farm to sample Huber's famous Apple Cider Doughnuts. Delicious!
