Mother's Day Weekend 2011

We celebrated Mother's Day all weekend and Stephen and the girls made me feel very appreciated. Stephen and the girls got doughnuts from Nord's Bakery on Saturday morning. If you have not tried the Baconator (a long john with maple frosting and a slice of crisp bacon on the top) you really should try it just for the experience. Yum! Saturday afternoon I took Julianne out on a Mommy/Julianne date to Starbucks for their Happy Hour. Julianne picked the Double Chocolatey Chip Frappuchino and a chocolate chip cookie. I think she had chocolate on the brain after this because when I asked her what she wanted to get Uncle Andy and Sarah for their wedding she said she wanted to get them a chocolate doughnut. When I asked her what she was going to make me for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Mother's day she told me chocolate cereal for breakfast, chocolate for lunch, and chocolate cereal for dinner. I guess she got her love of chocolate from me. We had a fun time together. When we got back the girls gave me my Mother's Day gift which was a hair straightener. This may not seem very interesting but I recently got my hair cut a lot shorter and needed a new straightener to make it look nice. Julianne had also picked out some beautiful flowers for me. That evening we had Papa Murphy's Pizza. On Sunday we went to church and then had lunch at The Old Spaghetti Factory. After Sunday afternoon naps we skyped my mom and then spent some time at a park. After playing at the park we skyped Stephen's mom. It was a fun Mother's day and I am so thankful for my daughters, my mom, and my mother-in-law!
