Lorelei - 3 months

Our sweet Lorelei is three months old today. She is such a blessing to us and I am so thankful that God has given her to us to raise. Lorelei has turned out to be such a laid back baby as she has gotten a little older and rarely fusses unless she is hungry, tired, or has a dirty diaper. She is full of smiles and is very ticklish on her belly. She loves to babble when you give her your full attention and is rarely still. Her favorite position is in the standing position and holds herself up pretty well. Even when she is laying down, she is constantly in motion and has started rolling over onto her side. She holds her own hands and enjoys trying to get her bib in her mouth. She is beginning to hold onto toys, but hasn't figured out that if she opens her hand up the toy will fall out of her hand, so toys don't stay long in her grasp. She does not enjoy being held so that she is laying down, but prefers to be up on your shoulder so she can see what is going on. She is beginning to pull her body forward when she is laying down like she wants to sit up, but still lacks control to sit up well, although I think this will be coming soon enough.

Lorelei still is a great eater and has started spacing her daytime feedings out every 2.5-3 hours. She is a pretty efficient eater and is much quicker than Julianne ever was. Just this past week she has begun taking a good 1.5-2 hour morning nap and a 1 -1.5 hour afternoon nap. Finally I feel like we're getting into a schedule. Lorelei is sleeping 9-10 hours at night and usually wakes up in the five o'clock hour for a feeding, then goes back to sleep for another two hours or so. One wonderful development in the past several weeks is that Lorelei is now enjoying baths. We just put her in the tub with Julianne and she loves to watch her big sister. Here are some pictures of our sweet three month old.
