Julianne - one month

It is hard to believe but Julianne's first month of life outside the womb has passed already. Yesterday she turned one month and also got to go to the doctor. Her pediatrician said she is very healthy and was very impressed with her weight gain. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. She is definitely growing! She still is in the 10th percentile for her weight, but was in the 25th percentile for her height. Julianne is now sleeping anywhere from 3 to 5 hours at a time at night. Last night she actually slept 5.5 hours.

Julianne - week 3

Week three was filled with many new exciting experiences and new friends for Julianne. The week began (really week two ended) with a visit from grandma and grandpa Mobley. They waited two weeks to meet her, but she was definitely worth the wait. Here are some pictures from their visit with us.

Julianne - 2 weeks old

Julianne is now a whole two weeks old. Yesterday a momentous occasion occurred in little Julianne's life. She lost her umbilical cord stump. Now she can have real baths! I know this may seem insignificant, but it is a big deal to us. This past week Julianne had her first trip to Cherokee Park. Julianne and I packed a picnic lunch and met Stephen after he was done with his classes. We let Abby run around dog hill and then ate a yummy lunch. Julianne is now consistently sleeping for about three hours at a time at night and is experiencing more awake time during the day.

Julianne - day 9

Grandma and Grandpa left for St. Louis today. We got some good pictures before they left. It was so fun to have them here with us!

Julianne - first bath at home

Saturday was a big day for Julianne (sometimes known as Jules). Not only did we take a trip to the Oxmoor Mall and to Mark's Feed Store, but she had her first bath at home. For the most part it was a smooth experience - she especially liked it when we washed her hair with the kitchen sprayer. She was so calm and relaxed. As far as the rest of the bath, well, it was not so fun. It will be easier (we hope) when she can get wet all over. Here are some of the precious moments...

Julianne - day 4

Today we had lots of fun together. Barry and Becky have been a great help keeping us sane. We are glad they are here with us. Stephen went to school in the morning, but was able to take another day off work so he could be home. Great aunt Melissa, and second cousin Madyson came down from Indianapolis today for the late morning and early afternoon. We had a fun time together.

Tonight we took our first trip to Target. Julianne was calm, cool, and collected the entire time. She's such a sweet girl!

Julianne Grace Mobley

We are so happy and thankful God brought Julianne Grace into our life! She was born on 8/17 at 7:11 PM , weighing in at 5 lbs 15 oz, and measuring 18-1/2 inches long. Thank you for your prayers, both those offered these last nine months, and those many prayers for years to come.
